&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;RITA-2 is a triple-axis spectrometer situated at PSI, Switzerland. RITA-2 is placed at the cold source and is optimized for medium energy resolution and high \(q\) resolution.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In this assignment, you will use McStas to construct a model of RITA-2 and perform a virtual inelastic phonon experiment. You will then use the state-of-the-art analysis package MFIT to analyze the data and determine the phonon dispersion relation. You will also be asked to study the energy and (optionally) the \(q\) resolution of the spectrometer.&lt;br /&gt;
